Available is an antique stoneware tooth paste pot. The lid has a beautiful green label showing a woman's head surrounded with the words "Cherry Toothpaste, Patronized by the Queen; Produced by John Gosnell Co. London."
Commercial toothpaste was marketed in chemist's shops starting around 1880 in ornate stoneware pots like this one.
Overall good antique condition. Comes with lid and base. Lid has small chip on edge. Base has a small chip near foot rim. Overall crazing. Beautiful piece for display.
