Originally crafted around 1860 as a dome-top tea caddy, this piece features gorgeous, rich wood graining, an ornate brass escutcheon, and a matching decorative brass top plaque.
While originally intended for tea, the internal compartment lids are no longer present, leaving a beautifully spacious, open twin-compartment layout. This makes it uniquely well-suited and highly functional as a decorative keepsake box, vanity organizer, desk valet, or jewelry chest.
Condition: This piece is in good antique condition and presents beautifully. It shows minor, authentic signs of age, including a small nick on the wood lid. The interior lids are missing. Green felt applied to base.
