Antique Dove in the Window Quilt

Available is a lightweight cuddly antique quilt in lovely contrasting colors and pattern.

MATERIALS

Quilt is in the Dove in the Window quilt (also known as Crow's Feet or the Crossroads). It has a center square of blue, set with 4 basket with yellow, pink and blue patches, set with white fabric with tiny black print that has mostly worn through (see below). Alternate blocks of pink squares and lightly printed sashing. One long side of the quilt has a pink bar; other three sides have no border. Bound in white fabric. White backing. Lightweight cotton batting.

CONDITION

Good antique condition. Wear along the binding. The white fabric in the setting fabrics originally had small scale black printed pattern that has experienced dye rot, leaving tiny holes all over the quilt. However these do not affect the overall integrity of the fabrics. One small blue mark in one patch near top of quilt.

Exact age and maker unknown. Estimated c1890. Found in Missouri.
