Available is a stunning early Victorian door stop, made of brass with a cast iron weight. This pieces dates to circa 1840 and is in excellent vintage condition.
The handle doubles as the cherub's halo, with the cherub holding an arrow in his hands and standing on a pedestal and books. The craftsmanship is exquisite, with detailed folds and wings.
The base of the door stop is solid cast iron, secured with screws. The side view of the door stop does show a slight backward lean that does not interfere with the function.
SIZE - Measures 17.75" high; base is 6" x 3.5". Weighs 7 lb. 3 oz.
