Each piece is a genuine slice of botanical history, attributed to an original 1867 edition of Edward Joseph Lowe’s seminal work, Ferns: British and Exotic.
Unlike modern digital reprints, these original 150+ year-old woodblock-printed plates possess a distinct historic texture, subtle paper aging, and vibrant, organic color tones that cannot be replicated.
To elevate these historic treasures for contemporary interiors, each print has been custom-framed to museum standards. We have utilized a traditional "bottom-weighted" matting technique. This classic styling prevents the artwork from appearing visually heavy when hung at eye level, ensuring an elegant, balanced gallery presentation on your wall.
