Discovered unframed in England, this authentic period piece features a beautiful landscape and artist monogram—possibly "HY"—in the bottom left corner, making it an excellent find for collectors of Victorian-era landscapes.
The panoramic composition captures a classic Scottish Highlands scene, featuring a lone Highland cow watering at the edge of a tranquil mountain loch. Soft mist settles over the rolling green hills, showcasing the delicate brushwork, luminous skies, and atmospheric depth typical of 19th-century British plein air and studio artwork.
To honor its heritage, the painting has been thoughtfully paired with a new, custom ornate gold wood frame and a premium linen liner that elevates its historic charm while preparing it for immediate display.
