Antique Tunbridge-Style Parquetry Stationery Box (c. 1870)

This beautiful antique wooden stationery box dates back to the mid-to-late 1800s and was sourced from England. The exterior showcases striking geometric parquetry inlay work arranged in a detailed chevron pattern across the lid and sides, a classic hallmark of traditional English Tunbridge-style craftsmanship.

The box features a clean, empty interior, making it highly versatile and ready for immediate display, desktop organization, or storing small keepsakes. Marbled green and white paper was applied to the interior of the box at some point in its life. Orange felt applied to base.

Condition: Overall good antique condition with a clean interior. Please note there is a split in the veneer on the back right corner of the lid, consistent with its age (visible in photos).
