Available is an incredible vintage quilt top with hundreds of small triangles in a wide range of fabrics and prints.
MATERIALS
The quilt top is made in the Flying Geese pattern, with 2" blocks of triangles sewn in alternating directions. The fabrics are a wide range of late 19th century and early 20th century shirting fabrics, cadet blues, mourning prints, and more. It is hand pieced in white thread. The border is cadet blue with white print.
This is the unfinished quilt top only - no backing, batting, or binding.
CONDITION
Good antique condition. One block had loss of a few triangles (near right upper border) and has a historical patch with c1930s fabric; see photos. A few storage stains. It has not been washed.
AGE
Exact age/maker unknown. Found in Missouri. Based on fabrics, estimated date c1900.
