This incredible antique quilt top is a feast for the fabric lover. It features a wide variety of pristine antique fabrics, from 1840s chintz to late 1800s calico prints. It is a true collector's piece.
MATERIALS
The quilt top is in the Yankee Puzzle pattern, with alternating blocks of triangles measuring 2" x 4". It is hand pieced with white fabric.
The fabrics are an astounding array of nineteenth century prints - block printed chintz, madder brown calico, double pinks, indigo blue, claret red with white resist, and more. They are a delight to study.
CONDITION
Excellent antique condition. No seam separation or stains noted. It has not been washed and lies flat.
AGE
Exact age unknown. Likely constructed in the late 1800s/early 1900s, based on fabrics used.
SIZE
Measures 77" x 67".
