A charming Carrick's Cumberland Dairy cream pot, beautifully adorned with classic blue transferware patterns. This antique piece features intricate detailing and a timeless design, perfect for collectors or adding a touch of vintage elegance to your tableware collection.

This dairy company was created in 1881 by Thomas Carrick of Low Row in North Yorkshire and, according to the daily newspaper the Newcastle Courant, in 1882 the company produced 482,371 gallons of milk, 175,407 lbs of butter and 361,779 lbs of cheese.

Excavated from a Victorian dump site in England. Used in late 19th century and early 20th century for selling and advertising cream. Thick beige stoneware with blue printed lettering. Very good vintage condition.
