Available is a framed art print depicting the Binnenhof in The Hague, Netherlands, by Dutch painter and etcher Hendrik Elias Roodenburg. Signed in both corners in front below bottom edge of etching. Wonderful detail and shadow work throughout the etching. Dated 1954.
The central building is the Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights), the main building of the 13th-century Binnenhof complex. The Ridderzaal serves as the centerpiece of the Dutch parliament campus and is a historic example of Gothic secular architecture.
The artwork is rendered as a detailed black-and-white etching or engraving, showcasing the historic architecture of the Hague's political heart. Framed in midtone wood frame with cream colored textured matting.
Hendrik Elias Roodenburg (1895–1987) was best known for his cityscapes from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. This European architectural etching is perfect for an office or home study, with neutral colors and strong details.
