Highly collectible majolica syrup jug in unusual color. The pitcher has a triangular shape, with an engraved flip-top pewter lid. Pink pebbled ground with a yellow sunflower on each side of the body. Faux bois branch handle. Raised maker's mark "GSH Etruscan Majolica E 23" on base.
Excellent antique condition, without chips or cracks.
Griffin, Smith & Hill were prolific majolica producers in the late 1800s, based in Pennsylvania. The maker's make dates this piece to 1880-1890.
