Available is a lovely example of Aesthetic Movement dinnerware, popular in the late Victorian era. The plate is from the Hawthorn pattern by T.G. Booth potteries, produced in the 1880s. The brown transfer design has multicolored hand painted details over the glaze, showing a bird and dragonfly in flight, encircled with hawthorn flowers and sprigs of grass.
Transfer backstamp indicates pattern name and maker. Moderate crazing throughout with minimal wear to polychrome and light age-related toning. Excellent display piece.
