Extra large antique mercantile tilted display jar. Originally used for selling penny candy, it has two flattened sides, to be stored either upright or on a slant on the countertop. A great vintage piece for countertop storage in a vintage kitchen.
A few small flea bites around the edge of the lip. The neck of the jar is screw top; however, the lid currently on it does not have screw threads and sits on the opening without an airtight seal.
