Available is a set of two French ironstone plates with brown transferware. The design shows exotic palm trees and plants set in front of a distant dome-roofed house. A parrot perches on a branch, wings half-lifted in preparation for flight.
The back of both plates have impressed "Longchamp" mark. One plate has an additional transferware backstamp of "Exotique Longchamp." Estimated date of production c1900.
Excellent condition. Light crazing and minimal staining. No chips or cracks noted. Impressed backstamp identifying the maker is visible.
