Available is a set of Victorian glass poison bottles (empty, of course). These are antique Victorian cobalt blue "Not To Be Taken" poison bottles, typically dating to the late 19th or early 20th century.

The distinctive cobalt blue color and vertical ribbing were intentional design choices to warn people of dangerous contents even in dim lighting or by touch.

The bottles are embossed with the warning "NOT TO BE TAKEN" vertically on one side.  They were used by chemists and pharmacists to store and sell poisonous liquids such as laudanum, carbolic acid, or rat poison.

Sourced from England, where they were excavated from a Victorian dump site. Sizes in the smallest two are unmarked; the two largest are marked 2 oz. and 4 oz. on the bottom.

Each bottle is empty and clean, ready for repurposing as window decoration, propagation bottles, or stem holders.

Priced and sold as a set.
