Dating to the early 20th century, this substantial, heavy-gauge piece features a beautifully sculpted figural deer base with a full set of intact antlers. Designed without a flat bottom, it was historically filled with port or spirits and handed to riders before a hunt. When inverted, it balances flawlessly on the stag’s antlers to double as a striking barware chalice or novelty jigger.
This classic piece boasts an entirely silver-toned interior and exterior, providing a crisp, cohesive, and bright aesthetic on display. The intricately detailed fur and facial features show only very mild, honest wear to the plating, keeping its historic character intact while remaining in excellent vintage condition. All antler tines are completely structurally sound, allowing the cup to stand stable and secure when flipped upside down.
Sourced from England. To preserve the bright luster of the silver plating, this item should be hand washed only with mild soap and gently polished with a soft silver cloth as needed
