Available is an antique stoneware tobacco jar with lid. The attractive white applique floral pieces decorate the sides, with incised detail and molding on the body. The jar has an impressed stamp on the base reading 'Silicon Doulton Lambeth.' Estimated age c1890.
Imported from England, where it was salvaged from a Victorian dump site. Several applique pieces are missing. Knob of lid appears to have small chip or missing point. Overall perfectly worn, unique piece for small storage and display.
