Vintage Red and Yellow Lone Star Circle Quilt

Available is a vibrant vintage quilt in unusual pattern.

MATERIALS

The quilt has a central Lone Star, set in a circle with radiating points behind it. The star has alternating diamonds of dark red, orange, and yellow solid fabrics. The circle is dark orange and set in pale yellow solid fabric. The border is an unusual double triangle border, with red and orange blocks. The backing is highliter yellow, and it is bound back to front. Hand quilted with lots of floral motifs and feather wreaths in the setting blocks. Lightweight cotton batting.

CONDITION

Fair to good vintage condition. The border and binding has several torn areas. One open area to the backing. Small areas of discoloration remain after washing. Some fabric thinning and fading apparent. Please see all photos. It has been carefully hand washed and air dried. The condition is good for light use or display.

AGE

Exact age unknown. Estimated c1940 based on fabrics and techniques used. Found in Missouri.
