Vintage Blue and White Lone Star Quilt, c1950

Available is a softly worn vintage quilt in a lovely mix of calicos and quilting. This is the perfect quilt for picnic, blanket forts, and movie nights.

MATERIALS

Quilt is constructed in Lone Star pattern, with alternating diamonds of white and blue calico in indigo and cadet blue prints. There is also a mix of red and white shirting fabrics. Set in white fabric. Hand quilted in white thread with feather wreaths and hearts in the corners. Lightweight cotton batting. Novel ric-rac added to border. Dark blue backing. 

CONDITION

Fair vintage condition. A few areas of fabric thinning. Overall wear and fading to the calico. Some batting shift and loss. Backing is intact. Scattered light stains remain after cleaning. It has been carefully hand washed and air dried.

AGE

Exact age unknown. Estimated c1930 based on fabrics and techniques. Found in Connecticut.
