Vintage Bow and Arrows Quilt

Available is a cheerful handmade quilt in a lovely mix of prints and solid pink - perfect for a feminine bedroom or child's bed.

MATERIALS

The quilt is in an unusual pattern called Bow and Arrows (see Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns #1504c), with quartered circles of alternating solid white and two different small-scale printed fabrics. The piecework is all expertly done in curves, showing the skill of the maker. Border is scalloped, with solid pink binding applied. Hand quilted in white thread. Batting is lightweight and interesting - on looking through back-lit fabric, it appears to be a striped sheet or towel. 

CONDITION

Very good vintage condition. Some toning, especially noticeable on back. Fabric is tight and intact. It has been carefully hand washed and air dried.

AGE

Exact age unknown. Estimated c1930, based on fabrics and techniques used. Found in Kansas.
