Available is an antique primitive quilt with a lovely mix of prints and patterns.
MATERIALS
The quilt is in the Sugar Loaf pattern, with triangle blocks of alternating diamonds of solid and patterned fabric. The blocks are set in red and white gingham cotton. It is hand quilted in white thread in Baptist fan pattern. The binding is red solid fabric. White backing. Lightweight cotton batting.
CONDITION
Good vintage condition. There are several areas of fabric thinning and fading, especially along the binding. Some light staining and storage marks on the back. It has been carefully hand washed and air dried.
AGE
Exact age unknown. Estimated c1900 based on fabrics and techniques used. Found in Missouri.
