Available is a lovely two-tone vintage quilt in yellow and white in the classic basket pattern.
MATERIALS
Quilt is made in the "Cherry Basket" pattern (also known as "Berry Basket" or "Fruit Basket"; see Encyclopedia of Pieced Patterns by Brackman, #668), with pieced triangles in the basket and a hand-appliqued handle in solid yellow and white cotton fabrics. Hand quilted in white thread. Lightweight cotton batting. Solid white backing. Machine finished binding in white cotton.
CONDITION
Good vintage condition. Fraying noted on most of binding. Some batting shifting and thinning visible. It has been hand washed and carefully air dried.
AGE
Estimated date of construction circa 1930. Maker unknown. Found in Missouri.
SIZE
Measures 87" x 74".
